KGASS: Introducing Giuseppe and Marco
Kirkcaldy Gilbert & Sullivan Society are delighted to introduce Giuseppe and Marco, the company mascots for their 2020 production of The Gondoliers at The Adam Smith Theatre, Kirkcaldy.
This handsome pair of gondoliers set sail from Venice in search of an island fair and found themselves pulling ashore near the seal sanctuary at Seafield, Kirkcaldy. After their long journey they found a lovely spot in a land lover’s garden in which to rest their weary limbs. The sun was out that day and they decided there and then that they would stay with us until the show in March 2020.
Kirkcaldy Gilbert & Sullivan Society are now looking for your ideas and suggestions for the best places to show our two Italian gondoliers that they have arrived in one of the most attractive parts of our island fair. Do you know the best places to visit in Kirkcaldy and its surrounding areas? We are looking for restaurants, tourist attractions, goods and service providers (after all they may need to restock their gondola…), anything you can think of. Maybe you have an Italian connection and you want to meet Giuseppe and Marco for a wee blether?
All recommendations welcome at: firstname.lastname@example.org
In other news, it’s not too late to join our chorus of contadine and gondoliers. We rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Hunter Hall, Kirk Wynd, Kirkcaldy.
